Ugis Grinbergs
Member of the UPB Management Board
Ugis Grinbergs has managed the UPB holding Exports Department since its beginning in 2006. He has participated in the expansion of UPB’s business activities and its entering new markets. He has also worked on founding and managing subsidiaries of UPB in Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, and the UK. His work in UPB began in 2001, when he worked as a project manager and the exports project director at the company RK Metals. Prior to this, he obtained his working experience in several construction companies in Latvia and Lithuania, where he initially worked as a construction manager, and, constantly growing as a professional, proceeded to become a construction project manager, then the project director, and finally the company director. In this function, he obtained practical skills in working abroad. He graduated from the Riga Building College, completing a programme in architecture and civil engineering. To improve his professional skills, he studied project management and basic international law at the Latvian Business School and the Riga Graduate School of Law. He also took courses in international project management at the Munich Management Academy.
